sailing a boatBenefactors' programme

Individuals, companies and foundations seeking to make particularly generous contributions to The Sue Buckley Research Fund may select from a variety of attractive and distinctive giving opportunities.

Major benefactors can choose the projects or outcomes they wish to support, receive appropriate recognition in differing ways, and participate in the work of the Fund.

Choice

Major benefactors contributing at least £25,000 ($50,000/€35,000) annually or a single donation of at least £100,000 ($200,000/€140,000), may identify one or more specific projects, or set of outcomes, that they particularly wish to support. We can also offer programmes tailored to suit the philanthropic goals of our major benefactors.

Recognition

Major benefactors may also select how their contribution is recognised. Opportunities include wide public acknowledgement through our publications, web sites and public relations activities, naming academic awards, funded chairs and studentships, and programme branding. Of course, major benefactors may alternatively choose to not have their support publicly recognised.

Participation

Major benefactors can participate in the work of the fund in a number of ways. These range from regular reports and access to key project staff through to more hands-on involvement in management and governance. Major benefactors may also attend Major Benefactor Receptions where they can meet with senior staff and other major benefactors to review the work of the Fund.

Confidence

Our cause is compelling, our vision is clear and our goals are achievable. We can demonstrate that the outcomes we seek are deliverable and that our strategy is low-risk. Major benefactors can be confident that their support will lead to measurable results with a wide and lasting impact for people with Down syndrome everywhere and the communities in which they live.
